Geisha Guided Tea Ceremony

Step inside one of Japan's most storied ryotei and experience the ancient art of the tea ceremony as it was meant to be shared — guided by a Shimbashi Geisha. Under the instruction of a geisha trained in tea ceremony, flower arrangement, and the full breadth of Japanese classical arts, guests are invited to slow down and discover the beauty of Japanese culture.
The experience is paired with a seasonal Kaiseki lunch course, where the finest ingredients from across Japan are served on prized pottery by Rosanjin and other celebrated craftsmen. For those who prefer comfort, a table-style tea ceremony is available as an alternative to the traditional Seiza seated position.

Geisha Entertainment and Dinner

As evening descends on Ginza, Kanetanaka transforms. In the intimate tatami rooms of this ryotei, Shimbashi Geisha take to the floor in a performance of traditional dance, song, and shamisen that has enchanted Japan's distinguished guests for generations. Tracing their lineage to 1857, the geisha of Shimbashi belong to the three great schools of Japanese classical dance and dedicate their lives to mastering an extraordinary range of arts: from Nagauta music and Joruri narration to calligraphy and flower arrangement.
The performance is woven seamlessly into a full Kaiseki dinner course, with dishes composed to complement both the season and your evening's pour. Guests may choose between the Seasonal Full Course: a progression of sashimi, grilled dish, tempura, and simmered dish; or the Sushi & Wagyu Steak Full Course, centred on the depth of Japanese Wagyu.
