Unlocking Deep Healing within the Mind

2 JUN 2025

This May, COMO Shambhala in collaboration with DA Medsuites, welcomed Dr. Linda Bedessian John for a closed-door neurological workshop. In this session, a select group of Comoclubbers and COMO Shambhala invitees learned how to work directly with their nervous system to rewire neurological systems, addressing the root causes of pain and trauma.
The event began with a welcome reception at COMO Shambhala Singapore at COMO Orchard, where guests mingled while nibbling on appetisers provided by COMO Cuisine. Participants were then introduced to Dr Bedessian John – a chiropractor with over 20 years of experience treating patients across the globe and a certified network care practitioner in network spinal analysis (NSA) and somato-respiratory integration (SRI).

Spiced chicken skewers were served as canapés for the guests, created by the chefs from COMO Cuisine.

Guests were treated to delectable desserts from COMO Cuisine.

The workshop commenced at DA MedSuites, where Dr Bedessian John spoke about how the tension level of the body’s spinal cord determines which of the three states our brain is tapped into: firstly, the frontal or ‘magic’ brain controls healing and compassion towards one’s self, as well as forming authentic relationships; secondly, the ‘monkey’ brain controls repetitive life actions, and lastly the ‘reptile’ brain controls survival instincts of fight or flight. She encouraged participants to practice mindfulness so that the first brain state is more often engaged, promoting healing and alignment with the body and spine.
Participants were taught how to examine their physiology, particularly with their posture and spinal positions, and how that revealed certain neurological patterns stemming from childhood experiences. Dr Bedessian John led a meditative session, where participants placed their hands on their forehead, chest, and stomach, allowing time to observe any feelings of tightness or discomfort.

Dr. Linda Bedessian John shares her passion for neurology and mental health with participants.

Guests looked on as the spinal alignment demonstration helped relieve one participant's bodily tension.

Select Comoclubbers and guests learned where trauma is stored in the body.

Through the session, participants learned how to reset the nervous system by expressing raw emotions using a variety of facial expressions and vocal sounds, thus releasing pent-up tension in the body. They were also treated to a live demonstration on the chiropractic table, as Dr Bedessian John closed the evening by demonstrating the magic of spinal-neurological alignment on two volunteers.
Dr. Bedessian John will be coming to Singapore again in November to conduct her signature Weekend of Magic. Join Comoclub and stay informed of upcoming exclusive Comoclubber workshops.
